As I sit and recall the day I have had today (Mother's Day) I can only think of one word to describe the day and that is BLESSED. I awoke to my almost 2 year old entertaining himself in his room (actually just taking off his pyjamas I later discovered) then when he was ready to come out my wonderful man got up and let me sleep in (for almost 2 hours!).
Then when I awoke to the sound of the door opening my bright eyed, little Asher came bursting through with a paper, homemade card and a very proud look on his face. He had made (with some help from daddy) a very colourful card. I don't know which I loved more the card or the look on his face when he gave it me and I told him just how proud I was of him.
Next, I was shown that on my bedside table was a pencil with a "Breakfast Menu" and I could choose anything I wanted off it (all of it even, if I was that hungry). I chose eggs on toast and an apple and guava juice.
Then came the presents - New slippers and a dvd (The Lakehouse). Plus, many hugs and kisses.
I got to play with bubbles outside with Asher, also with the ball up the hallway (a fave thing of his) and I got to read my book and relax. We also chatted to my mother-in-law and father-in-law via webcam.
To end my day we had dinner with my mum and dad and gave mum a card and some lovely photos of her adorable and (so far) most loved grandson. (He's the only one so far)
All in all it was a beautiful day and I felt very loved and cherished my my little "Sing"let and my darling husband.
