003: oops

Thing to get rid of...
Today I am getting rid of a height chart that has been in Asher's room. Unfortunately I really do like it and it looks great in his room, but he just doesn't get that it is supposed to stay on the wall and isn't a toy! Ok, so as it hasn't actually left the house or have somewhere else to go that isn't what counts today. I do however still need to actually walk to the bin with the last two days throw outs which are still sitting on my front porch - tonight I WILL! So, today I have just gotten rid of small things like rubbish that I think I may need a little longer - ie the toothpaste tube, a plastic bag with a zip for holding 4 foam squares which now permanently live outside under the slippery slide to soften little bottoms falls. Also, a bag of clothes which I have been meaning to drop off to a charity bin for a while and a bag of plastic bags that need to go to the special bin at the supermarket.

Something for Asher to do...
We went to see Katherine and her girls this morning and Asher got to see her new fish and freshly cleaned fish pond - which he totally loved! Plus she had a spare crown for him to make when we got home - I did have big hopes of looking for things outside to put on his crown but due to a few forgetful moments (plus I had to go buy the brown paper - see yesterday's post) he didn't get to glue - but he is currently colouring it in to show Daddy when he arrives home. Also, a new thing for Asher today was the fact that India actually played with him and they enjoyed running around together! (Kt, our match making plans may work out in the end - hehehe) Update on the crown - he didn't do much drawing on it - I think I did more than him - maybe he is not a crafty boy - or not just that into colouring... oh dear.

What I am grateful for...
Today its creative friends - and in particular Katherine. I won't guarantee that I won't be grateful for her on other days too but we will see. Also, am grateful for lovely comments that people have given me on this blog - I didn't think my life was that interesting or inspiring really but am glad others think it is. Update - also am grateful for mum's nights out! Ahh the bliss of being able to share mum time with other mums but without the worry of the children for a while.
