I chose to read one that Katherine had suggested even though we haven't seen eye to eye on many of the books in the past its called Rosewater and Soda Bread by Marsha Mehran and I am really enjoying it so far - but don't tell Katherine! (But just secretly, I think she knew I would like it!)

some extra for today...
Have just come home from a "Books, Wine and Cheese" night with some ladies from my book club. It was a really nice (but short) night out. I thought to myself how far I have come in the past 6 or 7 years. You see, one of my dear friends, Reilly got me re-acquainted with books and installed a bit of a love for literary in me a few years back now. She worked, and still does work in a library and she would tell me about authors and books and eventually she just picked one out and made me up a card and took it out in my name and gave it to me! Then I started reading! I am still not a huge bookworm and always read the light fluffy books, that is, until earlier this year when I started a book club. OK, so I can't entirely blame Reilly for this, as I had some help from Angela (another dear friend) who had the brilliant idea for us to watch "The Jane Austin Book club". Then I thought the idea of having a book club like that would be great and it has been, I selected different people to be in the book club and some have stayed and some haven't but that is OK. We enjoy catching up once a month, with our book, some food and usually there is some chocolate involved. This is the first month that we have decided to do something different and we each brang a book we liked and we swapped -so this month will be fun catching up and chatting about these books!
