Being one of the youngest of most of my cousins I was the recipient of hand-me-downs on many occasions and I really loved it! So when we had Asher we enjoyed getting a stack of hand-me-downs from his only older male cousin, Tully! This has been great, but unfortunately as they live in Victoria the hand-me-downs aren't as easy to access. This leaves Asher being the oldest boy cousin on Brad's side in QLD and on my side of the family he is the oldest of all his cousins!
So when it came to getting him a "big boy" bed we were having to buy a brand new bed, which at the time we didn't have the money for, thankfully my folks still had my old single bed under thier house which was a blessing. But we have wanted to get him his own brand new bed since then, and this weekend we were able to do that finally. After much thought and consideration we decided on a very cool bed for a very cool little man! Its from Ikea and it reversible... we have it looking like this at the moment.
And when he is older we will turn it up this way!
It has a great canopy which goes over the top too!
(Its a bit hard to take photos of it in his room but in the next few days I will attempt it.)
Last night was his first night sleeping in it and he said he didn't like it which I was pretty upset about, as I had spent at least four hours putting it together!!! But it turned out it was just sleep he didn't really like at the time. Praise God!
