Ahhh! It feels great to be gracing my computer with my presence, and getting back to my little bit of sanity here on my blog. We arrived home tonight from our holiday a little earlier than expected but that's ok, its just nice to be home. Poor Asher was sick of being strapped into his car seat and being told to "shhh" and "don't touch that" wherever we went! Poor little man has hugged and kissed more relatives and friends than one cares to count and has made the best of small spaces when playing at people's houses. I think the best time he had was the two days he got to spend with his cousins Matisse and Tully, he had heaps of toys, loads of space in their big back yard and two mischievious cousins to play with.
For Brad, the time spent with family was too short, as it always is when we visit Victoria, as we have heaps of friends we like to try and see too. Overall he enjoyed himself but was suprisingly glad to be back in QLD with the humidity and all, I think it's safe to say that he is now a Queenslander... not that he would say that!
As for me... well, as I mentioned the time with family and friends is always too short which is very sad but I am glad that at least once a year I can pay some of my dearest friends with a visit and give them the hug that combines all the hugs that I have longed to give them through the year. I decided after one such visit that my new years resolution (yes there is just one) is that I will make sure I keep in much better contact with my friends who live far away.
Here are some bits of our trip...
fun things to drive through...
our old address...
(excuse the tissue box reflection
was trying to be inconspicuous)
this was a highlight...
(peace at last, after much
drawing and food)
however a lovely day in Daylesford for lunch...
and a lovely visit to the LARK store to get
goodies for friends was THE highlight!!!
(Oh, after seeing my Melbourne friends of course!)
