For anyone who saw my blog just before Christmas, I put up a photo of two little white birds that were on our Christmas tree and I said there was a story so here it is.
The two birds are named Macy Faith and Amala Hope. The are small symbols to remind our tiny family that we are actually bigger than we look. Macy and Amala were to be additions to our family, Macy this month, and Amala in August this year.
So, yes in the space of about 6 months we lost two babies, and yes, it has been and still, at times is difficult. We know that they are with our Heavenly Father and that they will never have to worry about the woes of this world.
We serve a faithful God, and although it may seem to those who don't know Him that He has forsaken us, we know full well that He hasn't and is with us each step of the journey we are on. Just earlier I read on a friends blog these words... "Sometime the path that your feet need to walk on is not a path you want to be on", and this was a great reminder of how God's ways are not our ways. I am constantly reminded and hold fast to the words from Jeremiah ""For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.""
Each day I thank God for the blessings I have, and especially Brad and Asher. They are my family here on earth and we know that there are two special ones in heaven who one day we will meet for the first time face to face and embrace like we have done it all our lives!
