094: a tearful but good experience

Yesterday we had a bit of a weird thing happen and we still don't quite know how it did happen. I had been playing with Asher for ages in the lounge and Brad was on the phone to his mum. I had to go to the bathroom (sorry, but I did!) as us mums occasionally do. Whilst in there I heard Asher start crying and yelling, and I called Brad to see to him - QUICKLY! He immediately jumped off the phone and went to see what was wrong.

He found Asher crouched over with the tv (flat screen LCD) half on top of him resting on his back! Thankfully the cords saved it from falling completely on top of him and hurting him badly. He got a small bruise on his back from where the corner of it landed, but apart from that - he is fine! However -the tv is not. I almost shed a tear, as it was not only what we had brought with all our wedding money, but it was also my saving grace on days when Asher almost tipped me over the edge. Good bye old friend.

So, today we had an almost tv-less day (we popped out for a visit with Kt and the girls where he got a bit of a tv fix). Its funny how much I kinda missed it though. I don't really watch it that much but we have it on during the day at times, which is nice to hear another adult say something you understand! I know tv isn't great for anyone... but for that reason, I will miss it!

Today, however, we did not get rid of anything but I did help Kt declutter her spare room to make room for #3. Which leads me to my grateful thing...

I am totally excited and grateful that for the first time I am getting to journey through Kt's pregnancy with her. We have had 3 kids between us and have not ever really been close (distance wise) enough to help, encourage, enjoy, be excited, laugh and cry together through a full pregnancy! So, here's to you #3, thanks for the joy you are bringing!

Oh and I do have one more quick thing I am grateful of - Asher ate a stack of veges tonight and 2 sausages for dinner - the most he has done ever!

Actually, you know what Deb...

We have a... flat screen tv (tube, not LCD - old school!) if you guys want to borrow it? It's a heavy beast but the picture is decent and the screen is an okay size.

Good blog!

I really appreciate the thought from you guys with the offers! We do actually have a small tv which I have put up for Ash. He usually stands too close so a small one is better really. Its fine, we just won't be hosting any movie marathons or state of origin nights... not that we ever did. Hahaha
