However, it was soooo well worth it! Brad and I escaped to Melbourne on a wonderful fleeting holiday as an early anniversary celebration but also to attend our friends Nigel and Carol's wedding.
Some of our highlights...
Although getting up at 3:30am isn't usually fun or easy, when you are flying above the cloud just after 5am and seeing this view, it makes it all worth it.
It was so nice to be back in amongst all this...(taken at Federation Square after we came from ACMI seeing the Mary and Max exibition)
We headed on over to Meet Me At Mikes and then spotted these lovely ladies across the road... I couldn't just walk past with out taking a photo (across the road in the background is the Meet me at Mikes shop!)
There was the wedding out at Yarra Valley of these two beautiful friends!
Oh and of course catching up with Mon and Bec
(Brad sold his sax to Bec - another thing that has left our house!)
Also, we got to see Lisa (Brad's cousin and my wonderful friend), our wonderful friends John, Jen and Brent, and not to forget Brad's mum and dad.
It was a great weekend! I love you my handsome man and am so grateful for these past few days together!
Oh Asher didn't miss out - he had a great time being spoilt (well not too much, thankfully) by Gama (Grandma) and Papa (Grandpa) Wheaton! When he came to pick us up with mum this afternoon and realised that we were just getting off the plane and he wasn't going on it... there was a quivering bottom lip and tears welling in the eyes till he was told we had suprises in our suitcases! (Thanks to Grandma and Poppy Sing for the suitcase of books - oh and he loves the tennis racket too!)

Looks like a great weekend away! Going to visit Meet Me At Mike's is just another reason to go to Melbourne soon!
