I then made a beanie for my 3 year old niece except I used a hook that was too small so now it is for my 3 month old friend Peach, so I remade Tia another one. Although I am still unsure if this one is even big enough. Here's hoping!
(Note the growing bump it is sitting on!)
I have been inspired to try and make a coocoon after seeing the cutest little Hungry Little Caterpillar coocoon and hat combo. I started on a pattern for one but it seemed too big for a new born, so I started again and doing my own thing with this one. My first venture from a pattern! It is looking good so far but until I have a newborn to try it on I won't know... my friend is due anyday now so I will use her bub for measurements! (Cute huh!)
I have also been thinking it is high time I started thinking about what kind of nursery I want to have for bump. I am thinking of elephants. Brad and I have always both loved elephants and I think its something that isn't too baby but not too big boy either. (As a few people keep thinking we may still be having a girl, it is good to have non gender specific for now at least.) My friend Talia had this on her facebook page which I will maybe give a good go... can't get a pick so check it out here...
Also, a friend has recently gotten some patterns from her grandma's stash that she was giving away to a good home. I told her I would love to take them off her hand, so I can't wait to see what is in there. I think there are a few good baby things in there so stay tuned.
In totally non related to crafting news... I just found out about the coolest app and it isn't just for iPhones! Thanks to Anna! Its call HeyTell! Its like sms but voice messages so you can use it like a walkie talkie. It is way cool and heaps funny, I have some great mates that I can now send these to, we even have cool code names. Heheheh. I feel like I am in primary school again and we should all have BMX bikes to complete our coolness. But we know how cool we really are. ;) If you have this app or can get it, let me know and we can be rad friends too!

I was never one of the cool kids :(
Maybe you could still let me hang out even though I can't HeyTel with you!
I LOVE that cocoon. How cute!
Also, feel very free to make me some doilies any time you're bored (which we know is always cause Mum's don't do much ;-))
