This past week has been filled with absolute drama. Well maybe not drama as such but turmoil maybe. It started last Sunday.
It was to be a huge day spent with four different groups of friends and family and I was really looking forward to it. Off I went at 9am for what can only be described as a small holiday for mummies. Myself and three other school mums met for breakfast/coffee without children! (Hence the holiday bit.) Then after that it was home to prepare lunch for our lovely friends the Tucker's. Whilst getting sorted back at home I learned of Zion's new talent. Pushing the step stool around the kitchen and climbing up to the bench. We have it so I can reach high things in the kitchen and Asher can help at the bench. Normally Zion isn't fussed by it but all of a sudden he was.
There I was standing right beside him one minute thinking how cute it was that he was putting dishes in the sink and the next minute (or second) I was picking him up from a big fall. I shudder now as I recall the accident. He hit his front tooth. Blood, panic, 000 called, mother berating herself, ambos come and go and say we need a dentist. All in under 30 mins. I call any open dentist for a Sunday appointment and they say that it should be fine and will take a week to work itself out. Day proceeds as normal -as normal as it could for a shaken mum. BLESSED, as its not as bad as first thought.
Restless night and he wakes in morn with no tooth. Again panic, mum freaks thinking he may have swallowed it and then find it in bed! BLESSED, as it is huge and would not have gone down well in his tummy. Dentist visit to a paediatric dentist and she says that they can't put tooth back and he has a fractured plate! Argh!!!! Breath mum. She says that there is nothing they can do but wait and I have done well to bring the tooth in. She was lovely and reassuring. BLESSED, that they were so kind and lovely and helpful with him. Also BLESSED, as Zion is still his cute and cheerful self!
Sigh!
Tuesday was a regular day but I was a little jumpy as they just don't make bubble wrap suits for toddlers.
Wednesday I had a specialist appointment to see if I needed a colonoscopy. Which I don't. PRAISE GOD! Come home put Zion to bed and then I get the call from school. My first instinct was to freak and then I silently prayed that out of Asher being in big trouble, hurting himself and being sick that it would be the later. It was THANK YOU LORD. Then was the craziness of keeping tot away from spewy big bro. Solution to put him in his cot. Poke my head in to amuse and assure him he's ok while he screams his head off. Then duck back to sick boy and set him up with bed, water, towels and a bucket. Once I knew they were both down for the night I was relieved but jumped at every noise. BLESSED I got sleep.
Thursday I enlisted the help of hubby who wasn't 100% so he stayed home with Asher while he recovered and while I took Zion for his 18month shot. Came home and we all slept well that night. BLESSED solid sleep.
Friday and its back to normal although I don't feel right. That afternoon when hubby walks in the door I was on the floor of the bathroom hugging the toilet bowl. Yep I was sick! My hero took over parent duties and I went to bed to toss and turn with illness all night. BLESSED I have such a man!
Recuperating Saturday and we had two parties we missed so decided to head to beach for fresh air. Whilst there Zion tripped and hit his face and again blood, freak out mum, a stop in at ER and told nothing they can do. Bleeding stops Zion's happy again and so therefore BLESSED it may not be as bad again.
Sunday, one more day to recover and keep Zion in cotton wool till I can see dentist and Asher does what can only be described as a random silly act toward his brother. He throws my huge drink bottle at him!!! ARGH!!!! Here we go again, blood, freak out super angry mum (thankfully not acting on it) as now his mouth is bleeding and he has a huge bruise on the side of his face. Ice packs are forced onto area as much as I can as he swats them away.
That is my last week to date. Will try and see the dentist tomorrow and hopefully she has good news.
Lord, you have looked after Zion thus far, and I know you will continue to have your hand on him. Please bless him with a major dental miracle. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Crikey, what a week!! Hope your trip to the dentist has resulted in good news, and that Zion stays safe! Lior has had a heap of accidents lately also, so I totally understand that fear!
